Head of engineering & delivery

Delivering value to our customers & communities

The head of engineering & delivery will be tasked with delivering business value to our customers, providing a world class, repeatable and consistent service.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • End to end customer journey once the projects are won through delivery of our projects. Also involved in technical pre-sales including bid response.
  • Delivering business value; measuring & delivering business value from our projects leading to repeatable patterns and automation.
  • Leadership; managing delivery leads, delivery bench, lead associates and others.
  • Partnerships; Working with our CSP Partnerships and developing opportunities in pre-sales (Google, Microsoft & Amazon)
  • SOW’s & delivery; building and reviewing SOWs (statements of work), sprint planning & sign off’s, delivering retros, quarterly business reviews and a-like.
  • Market intelligence; Work with the engagement teams to identify new opportunities & deliver market intelligence
  • Stakeholder management; technical, business through to c-suite in clients and counterparts within CSPs.
  • Ways of working; Improve ways of working creating our own methodology to deliver best value to customers.

 

Experience required

 

  • Experience delivering complex cloud native engineering projects ideally within a consulting organisation
  • Experience in creating and visualising ways of working and delivery methodology & possibly building re-usable open source products.
  • Knowledge working within highly complex and regulated environments such as public sector and financial services.
  • Proven ability managing multiple stakeholders across technical, business and c-suite.
  • Commercial acumen; understand of contractual, financial & operational issues.
  • Ability to set up SOW (statements of work) and run multiple project streams across multiple customers and industries.
  • Keen interest in how to measure and deliver business value across cloud technologies and track record on how to measure business value.
