Zak Meziane – An Agile Coach’s Guide to Creating an Agile-Friendly Culture
An Agile Coach’s Guide to Creating an Agile-Friendly Culture
According to the global Annual State of Agile Survey by VersionOne, the biggest challenge facing agile adoption is the “misalignment between organisational culture and agile values”. In other words, agile adoption is only possible in an “agile friendly” culture. If agile values go against your organisational culture or DNA, then agile practices will be rejected in the same way a body rejects a foreign object.
Using concrete examples from his experience as an Agile Transformation Coach & Consultant, Zak will guide the audience on an interactive journey to delve into the key components of an agile friendly culture, such as psychological safety and trust. He will also present a pragramatic and effective model that agile coaches, scrum masters and other leaders can use to act as the catalyst for the required cultural change in their own organisations.
The session is an interactive workshop and, as such, attendees must be prepared (and excited) to take an active part in the debate and content creation. The speaker will present 25% of the session material based on his practical experience and the latest thinking on the subject, with the rest being developed in close collaboration with attendees.
The people who will get the most out of this session are those already involved in an agile transformation programme, as they will be in a better position to contribute to the debate and benefit from the worskhop takeways in their day-to-day work.
