Orc at Scale 0.2
About this Event – PLEASE NOTE PASSWORD IS esynorc
eSynergy have teamed up with Weaveworks and AWS to help you know how to scale your Kubernetes clusters in the cloud.
Kubernetes has cemented its place as the number one Orchestration tool of choice. Companies all over the world are putting new and existing workloads into Kubernetes to run in the public cloud. But how do we minimise the complexity of operating Kubernetes workloads when they scale?
Following on from such a successful first event, Orchestration at Scale 0.2 will enable you to implement changes so you can fully benefit from Kubernetes.
So many of us are building or already have clusters running in production, but how do we successfully scale Kubernetes in a developer-centric way?
Join us on the 27th November for a morning of high-level discussions, in depth case studies and networking opportunities to cover how to successfully implement and scale Kubernetes in AWS.
Agenda:
8am; Arrival, breakfast and networking
Opening; Ryan Perkins, Head of Cloud & Containers at eSynergy
8.30am; Getting started with EKS CTL with Steve George, COO at Weaveworks
Steve’s talk will focus on Weaveworks partnership with Amazon and how Weaveworks and EKS can make it simple for enterprises to deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications. Steve will explain how this can be achieved using EKS CTL, a simple command line utility for creating and managing Kubernetes clusters on Amazon EKS, which Weaveworks created in partnership with Amazon.
Steve George is the COO of Weaveworks heading up product, professional services and sales. Prior to Weaveworks, in a similar capacity, Steve spent over 8 years growing Canonical and helping to support large enterprises customers with Ubuntu and other FOSS projects.
8.50am; Ric Harvey, Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services
9.10am; Break
9.30am; Machine Learning: Training to explainability on Kubernetes with Lee Baker, Commercial Leader at Seldon
Lee is helping people predict and shape their future using machine intelligence. He is Commercial Lead at Seldon where he’s responsible for client development and go-to-market strategy. Passionate about the confluence of business and technology, Lee is helping enterprise customers like Barclays realise success through the application of machine learning. Seldon is an alumnus of the Barclays Techstars Accelerator 2016.
