How AWA Successfully Adapted in the Face of Extreme Change – Simon, Sam and Rafa
As the pandemic swept across the globe it left almost every organisation reeling in its wake. Digital transformations have been fast tracked. Remote working became “the norm” overnight. People who said “remote working” wouldn’t work at their org soon found out that in times of crisis anything is possible.
At AWA things were no different. Overnight we faced a steady stream of cancellations and a significant drop in enquiries and sales. Our future felt uncertain. Yet we strived to see the opportunities and explored ways to continue serving our clients and customers. As a global community of thinkers we collectively pivoted our key services online and were able to continue offering many of our classes online without needing to postpone or cancel. This huge effort involved many sleepless nights, round the clock remote collaboration, a lot of coffee, and some other surprising techniques. All the while remaining true to our core belief of placing people at the centre of everything we do.
In this interactive online meetup with Simon Powers, Sam Kiani and Rafa Ribeiro, we share what we did, how we did it as a globally remote team and how we maintained high-quality experiences that are as good as in-the-room. We also show why we place so much emphasis on people over process and how we created the right environment for unlocking transformative online learning.
